June 12, 2007 --Prosurg Inc announced plan to introduce family of New Products including Zippere ™– Adjustable Mini – Sling for in-office treatment of (SUI) Stress Urinary Incontinence and Easy Lift ™- Single Incision, Modular, Surgical Mesh System with Bioabsorbable, “snap-on” anchors for Pelvic body organ Repair and Reconstruction Surgery via Trans-vaginal approach. The Easy Lift™- family of products is designed in cooperation with leading Gynecologists and Uro-Gynecologist to provide safe, cost effective and minimally invasive treatment option for millions of women all over the world. The Easy Lift™- Universal Trans- Vaginal Surgical System consists of Modular Surgical Mesh device manufactured from biocompatible, polypropylene mesh and self anchoring, modular bioabsorbable ‘Snap-on’ soft tissue fixation anchors. The Bioabsorbable’ Snap-on’ type tissue fixation modular anchors can be attached to any commercially available Mono -filament Polypropylene Surgical mesh or Biological Tissue Matrix, simply by snapping them together. The ‘snap-on’ modular anchors are made of Bioabsorbable co-polymer with bio- degradation life profile of approx 12-16 weeks. The Easy Lift modular system products are available in various configurations including, a single use procedure kit containing Macro pore, mono-filament polypropylene mesh, selection of curved needle introducer configurations and variety of bioabsorbable ‘snap-on anchor design. The Introducer and anchor deployment mechanism are designed with ‘slide control’ for quick, precise and controlled release of anchors in the pelvic floor muscle or fascia.
The Single- Incision, Universal Trans-Vaginal approach for Pelvic Floor Repair and Reconstruction Surgery using Easy Lift Modular System does not require any painful skin incisions or exit wounds from the long needles required for introduction & retrieval of anchoring tails, attached to the surgical mesh. The surgical mesh can be delivered vaginally and anchored in the muscle tissue or fascia, surrounding the prolapsed body organ, using self anchoring, bioabsorbable anchors. The modular anchors can be deployed and secured in the tissue, using simple, quick release, ‘slide control’ mechanism of the needle introducer.
